Location: Omak, WA
The main goal of the Omak High School project was to create the safest and best possible learning/teaching environment for the students and staff at the school. The Forte team worked closely with a facility committee, maintenance staff, teachers, and administrators to come up with an appropriate and functional design that would accommodate this goal with the greatest possible ease, and within the established budget.
This project consisted of modernization of an existing 79,000 SF high school, originally constructed in 1977. Modernization work included reconfiguration of administrative areas and locker rooms; conversion of several classrooms into a student center; partial new re-roof; new gym floor; new elevator; new hardware, new finishes; upgraded electrical and mechanical systems.
