The Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center is comprised of two historic buildings in the heart of downtown Wenatchee. It was crucial that the renovation not compromise the organization’s ability to carry out its original mission and also have space to reach out to the ever-growing community, schools, and other local groups. The first phase of the renovation was completed in 2008. It included renovating the museum annex basement and installing new electrical and plumbing systems. Currently, the Forte team is moving forward with the second phase, which includes a new gallery hall that provides space for changing exhibits, new finishes, display cases, lighting upgrades and a new set of ADA bathrooms in conjunction with a commercial kitchen. New signage and exterior lighting visually enhanced the existing facade and provides much needed recognition to the buildings.
