Location: Wenatchee, WA
Status: Complete
Rising enrollment at WestSide High School means that the facility needs more space, as well as an aesthetic upgrade. The Wenatchee School District moved the school from its previous location to the old Eagles Building, which was previously occupied by the Wenatchee Valley College Music & Arts Department. Forte’s challenge was to turn this rundown fraternal lodge into a comfortable, 300 student alternative school. The interior of the building was reconfigured to include classrooms, offices, an art room, a learning center, a Family & Consumer Science room and a new commons. A small daycare and gymnasium will be housed in other buildings on the site. The plan allows for the school’s future expansion needs.
